This traditional European style Fermentation Crock is designed for making large batches of sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles or other tasty ferments.
Lead free, food safe glaze will not retain the food’s flavors and clean up is easy.
Two semi-circular weights rest on top of the food inside, keeping food submerged for proper fermentation. Then, the lid is placed into an open moat which is then filled with water. Outside air is prevented from entering the crock and carbon dioxide gases created during fermentation easily bubble out. The water in the moat must be monitored and filled as necessary.
